FOUR mothers who gave birth after midday on independence day last Friday at the Angau Memorial Hospital in Lae, were presented with gift hampers by a company.
The mothers and their new-born babies were pampered by Pactrade PNG, a Lae-based distribution company.
Each of the gift hampers consisted of a pair of Huggies dry nappies, Kotex maternity pads, Huggies natural baby wipes, baby gloves, and  greetings card.
Pactrade marketing coordinator Sandy Elap-Saking identified the recipients as Besi Yaks from Markham in Morobe, who resides at 5-Mile, Priscilla Yopule from Chimbu who resides at Milfordhaven Road, Tabitha Wamboli from Morobe, who resides at Angau Compound and Tania Yapai from Kainantu and Milne Bay, who resides at East Taraka.
Elap-Saking told The National that the recipients were the first four mothers who gave birth straight after midday on anniversary day.
“We (Pactrade) have done similar hamper presentation during New Year.”
She said three of the mothers gave birth to baby girls while one gave birth to a boy.
