LANDOWNER company Anitua Hardware on Lihir Island in New Ireland has recorded an increase in the June sales compared to the same period last year.
Manager Keslyn Maruse said business activities in June totalled K752,658 compared to K584,565 last year.
“It has been a very good six months of growth compared to 2015 and 2016. Our operation’s main focus now is order less more often,” Maruse said.
“Two shipments each month from Lae and weekly shipments from Kokopo and Rabaul have increased our stock level, enabling us to provide and service the hardware needs of our customers.
“We have also shifted to ordering and bringing in stocks that our customers prefer, ensuring these items sell fast with a high turnover in profit maximisation.”
She said the introduction of three new sales departments had proven profitable, achieving sales targets in the past six months.
The additional sales sections included homeware appliances focusing on the Tropikul brand, solar Bare Foot products and Click TV.
