THE Simbu Disability Association is looking forward to launching its policy on December 3 which will coincides with the International Disability Day.
Association coordinator Claire Titus said the programme aimed to promote disability service in the province.
She said the National Capital District and other provinces often celebrated the International Disabled Day, except Chimbu.
“People living with disability have equal rights as able-bodied people. But most of them haven’t been receiving government services,” Titus said.
Titus said the Community Development department must support disabled people in other centers and not only Port Moresby.
She said Chimbu Governor Noah Kool was supporting the programme with K43,000.
“We are very happy with Governor Noah Kool and provincial administrator Joe Kundanaur for recognising us and supporting us,” Titus said.
