THE BNG Trading Company Ltd, an importing and distributing company, has been appointed the distributor for Australian Food and Beverage Company, Lion.
The companies have more than 20 years of trading association.
BNG Trading group sales and marketing manager Greg Baker said arrangement between the two companies involved recognisable brands.
“BNG Trading Ltd has been appointed as the exclusive distributor in Papua New Guinea for the Lion beer and cider brands,” Baker said.
“Those include recognisable brands such as XXXX, Tooheys, Hahn and James Boags, along with entering the craft beer category with James Squire and Little Creatures brands.
“Further to this, will be the addition of the Five Seeds Cider Range.
“The Papua New Guinea market continues to evolve and part of this is the consumer wanting an increased choice.”
Lion’s Pacific region manager Simon Wright said: “We look forward to offering the consumers of Papua New Guinea access to many of Australia’s iconic beer brands which will also include the world-class craft beer brands.
“Many consumers in Papua New Guinea will already be aware of the XXXX brand, with it being a major sponsor of the XXXX Queensland Maroons for the last 26 years, as well as being major sponsors of the Brisbane Broncos and the North Queensland Cowboys teams.
“Providing access to the internationally growing craft beer category is also important, which we will offer through the Little Creatures and James Squire brands.
“Lion is looking forward to continuing its relationship with BNG Trading and Papua New Guinea.”
