Authority trains landowner executives to expand business

A TWO-day training by the Investment Promotion Authority with landowner company executives was held at the Ramu NiCo operations base in Madang.
The training was funded by Ramu NiCo and involved IPA officials discussing with landowner company representatives issues affecting their operations.
It was part of the ongoing initiative by the mine to build the capacity of the landowners, according to the Ramu NiCo vice-president Wang Baowen.
“Our company has been here in PNG for over 10 years and have been able to look after our landowner community,” Wang said.
“This is why we kept our commitment in the memorandum of agreement and constantly remind ourselves to look after our landowner companies such as Raibus Limited because we appreciate their effort and we value their contribution.”
Ramu Project Lanco’s who attended the Investment Promotion Authority training were from Raibus Limited, Raibus Security, Wass Matau Limited, Maigari Limited and KBK Limited. The Investment Promotion Authority team was led by acting director investor servicing and promotion division Daroa Peter.
He thanked Ramu NiCo for funding the training which would help landowners expand their business.
