BADILI Hardware has opened a branch in Lae to cater for its customers in the Highlands, Momase and Islands regions.
Chairman Ashok Kumar said they decided to set up a branch in Lae because it was strategically located and easily accessed by customers from the three regions.
“Despite the current tough economic conditions, we invested about K10 million to set up in Lae because we are confident to deliver the best to our customers,” he said.
Kumar said they had brought in new technology, quality and affordable products to their customers in Lae.
He told The National that Badili Hardware was accredited with an International Standard Operation (ISO) certificate.
“ISO 9001 is the highest standard of quality certification for a hardware supplier in Papua New Guinea and we were given that because we order quality products from Australia and New Zealand,” he said.
Bulolo MP and Deputy Opposition Leader  Sam Basil thanked Badili Hardware for choosing Lae to set up their new shop.
“Your entry into Lae will add to the economy of Morobe and has created job opportunities. It would bring healthy competition among other hardware suppliers in the city,” he said.
Morobe Governor Kelly Naru congratulated Badili Hardware for setting up their business in the country’s second city.
“Thank you for choosing Lae to set up your business as Lae has a conducive business environment and you will be able to serve many customers. Lae is attractive and centrally located for business,” Naru said.
