HAIR, wellness and beauty firm, Trends Beauty International, has opened a new state-of-the-art client centre in Lae.
Trends owner Joe Lai officially opened the client centre on Tuesday in a ceremony witnessed by friends, family members, staff and partners.
The Trends client centre, located inside the Brian Bell Plaza along Mongola Street, consists of the Boyz-2-Men Barber Shop, the Spa Pua, Trends Beauty and Wellness and the Hair Salon.
Lai said the aim of setting up a client centre in Lae was to give residents international treatment in hair, beauty and wellness care.
Lai, from Singapore, said he had come to PNG 33 years ago with little idea.
He said with a background in hair-dressing, he had set up Trends in Port Moresby in 1991 and his company had grown overtime to what it is now.
Lai said the quality services they provide, good customer care and modern treatment facilities they provide were catalyst to the company’s expansion.
“Trends is my main business name but we also have Spa Pua, Boyz-2-Men and Wellness and Beauty Centre,” he said.
“We will open till 9pm each day including on weekends.
“We are trying to encourage more people to come over to spend after hours to relax and have haircut and not to rush things.”
