Betel nut ban supported

I support Powes Parkop’s ban on the sale and chewing of betel nut in public places.
I cannot see a reason why it is so hard to control the use of betel nut in public places.
It is causing so much filth from discarded husks and spit.
The problem is the selling of the betel nuts at bus stops, shopping centres and entrances to markets, offices, hospitals, schools, etc.
I suggest that NCDC hires a security firm to guard those areas and issue fines on the spot to offenders.
We tried this once and it worked.
