Businesses doing well at Vision City

A SURVEY of new shops at the recently-opened Vision City Mega Mall in Port Moresby reveals that business owners are happy with how things are going.
Port Moresby’s busiest shopping mall is alive with customers visiting the shops along the mall at the new wing every day.
At the entrance as one walks is a Chinese clothing shop known as Sizesmall.
Manager Karen Jonatas said business was good after they moved in four months ago.
Rita Leon, a cashier at MyBabiesFashion, a screen printing shop, said they were busy every day even though had two other competitors inside the mall.
She said they served between 30 to 40 customers each day.
Priscilla Kilalewa of the Health NZ shop said business was good with mostly expatriates coming in to buy health supplements.
Big businesses operating there include Brian Bell, bmobile-Vodafone, 2 Fast Motors, Huawei and others.
Businesses include telecommunication, restaurants, clinical shops, pharmacy, information technology, screen printing, car accessories, beachwear and jewellery shops.
There are facilities such as automated teller machines provided for the convenience of customers.
The food court at the end of the mall boasts food from many countries in the region for people to pick from.
There are seatings available where people can enjoy their meals in a clean environment.
Vision City general manager Anderson Ting said during the opening of the new wing that at least 20 new shops had been allocated space for people to do business.
