Cab driver a suspect in robbery

POLICE have arrested a taxi driver who is alleged to be involved in the shooting of a man at a wholesale store in Port Moresby last week.
National Capital District Metropolitan Superintendent Benjamin Turi said the driver was alleged to have transported suspects to rob the TST wholesale at 4-Mile last Thursday.
He said one of the suspects involved in the incident, shot a shop manager, 49-year-old Win Aung from Myanmar.
Aung drove himself to the hospital after he was shot but died later in the hospital.
Turi said police would be questioning the taxi driver to investigate the suspects involved.
He said there was also anotherĀ  robbery at Badili last Friday.
A man who worked at the Badili Pioneer Global Merchandise was going into BSP carrying K10,000 in cash when he was held up by three men.
Turi said they took the cash and escaped. Only one suspect was arrested following a police raid on a nearby settlement.
