CADETS from the Joint Services College in Igam Barracks visited the Lae police station yesterday as part of their training programme to understand how the police functioned and operated.
Lae Met Supt Anthony Wagambie Jr congratulated the cadets and advised them to gain as much knowledge as possible during their training.
“Consider yourself fortunate to be part of the first batch of cadets for the combined college, therefore commitment and self-discipline are the keys to your success so make use of your time wisely,” he said. Wagambie told them to seek advice and guidance from senior officers from the disciplined forces to help them succeed.
“This combined training for the police, defence force and correctional institute services would bind you together so that you cooperate to uphold the constitution of this nation,” he said.
