Central Governor Robert Agarobe is calling on village chiefs and elders to work with his office and other development partners to help develop the province.
Agarobe said during the opening of the Tubu Elementary and Primary School classrooms at Tubu village in the Nara Ward of Kairuku district on Saturday that schools in the province were in a poor condition.
He said while the provincial government was trying its best to build schools and aid posts in the district, most were of poor quality and standard.
Agarobe said he would have a serious consultation with respective provincial members and leaders about putting more emphasis on getting quality out of the institutions.
Building good quality school infrastructures, better teaching materials and teachers houses were a priority, Agarobe said.
