CAREER expo provide graduates with the opportunity to gain information about employment requirements, organisation’s profile and the training programmes for the respective organisations, career coordinator of student services career office Dika Iru says. The Career Office of University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG)  last week hosted the Career expo at the Waigani campus.
She said with the theme ‘embracing one’s career path’ the career office would like to emphasise for the students to embrace and know the path they were taking after they graduate.
The expo generally highlighted the importance of the public and private partnership that existed as the graduates interact with the exhibitors that could provide career paths for the students from various school disciplines and strands.
The representatives of each participating organisations addressed the third and final-year students outlining their employment requirements and profile.
An Oil search representative told the students that it is not easy to look for a job and organisations look for quality graduates with qualifications, right skills and right attitude.
