Cheating will get you nowhere

Letters

NEWS reports of alleged qualifications forgery has brought home the frightening reality of the cheating culture that was being fostered in certain secondary, senior high schools, colleges and higher institutions in recent years. Just last Friday (Oct 14) The National ran a story on a teacher in Eastern Highlands distributing national exams answer papers, obviously to meet a hungry market demand. What these fools do not realise is that sooner or later their own fake academic qualifications will expose them. And when that happens they might as well consider themselves just as good as the useless documents they cheated with. But the horrifying consequences of this forgery cult will be the damage and disrepute it would bring upon our education institutions. Cheating and forgery have no place in a modern and progressive Papua New Guinea.
