MORE than 3000 women are expected in Chimbu for the National Evangelical Lutheran Church women’s meeting.
Rev Jack Gagara, from the Evangelical Lutheran Church social office, told The National that many women would travel to Chimbu for the event and the number could exceed the expected figure.
He said the conference was an avenue to address problems facing the church and to find ways to solve them and rebuild the church.
“We are supporting our women so that they can restore, revive and renew their lives in order to carry out God’s work effectively in their districts and congregations,” Gagara said.
He said the meeting would provide women with knowledge on how to manage their spiritual life and refresh them in order to run the ministries.
Gagara said ELCPNG focused on building a household faith and that was one of the things that would be discussed during the meeting.
“You have to practise your faith in your own homes before you go out to the church. That is an effective way of growing your faith,” he said.
