Christian Democratic Party launches new Chimbu branch

A BRANCH of the Christian Democratic Party (CDP) was launched in Kundiawa in Chimbu by parliamentarian leader Kelly Naru last week.
According to Naru, the Chimbu branch would be the central coordination centre for the Highlands region. Notable people present at the launching were National Party president Dr Banare Bun and Sir Kobale Kale.
Naru said the CDP was currently operating out of Morobe and the Chimbu coordination centre would cover Jiwaka, Western Highlands, Southern Highlands, Enga and Eastern Highlands.
Naru said at the launching that the meeting was to sort out the appointment of interim executives and if there was a need, the party would be looking at establishing branches nationwide.
He said the CDP principle and motto were based on servant leadership to deliver services.
“The party’s principle and motto is based on servant leadership,” Naru said.
“We are practicing is Friends to All and Enemy to none.
“We welcome every other political party, stakeholders and the community to work together with us.
“In Christian Democratic Party, there is no room for criticism, competition, comparison and complaints.”
