City AFL competition enters fourth round games

THE Port Moresby AFL season heads into its fourth round this weekend at Colts Oval.
The NCDC Gerehu Magpies take on the Central Bombers in the senior match tomorrow, with the boys from Gereka village along the Magi Highway, facing the city team.
The Magpies will be out to inflict harm on the Bombers, who were pipped by two points against the West Eagles last week.
In the main game tomorrow, winless Dockers are expected to fight tooth-and-nail for their first win when they face the Defence Hawks.
Luke Savere Jr will lead the troops against a quality Dockers side, who were surprised by the Kokofas last Sunday, going down by 12 points.
The Dockers have a wealth of expereince in Wesley Yuwi, Emmanuel Tupia, Ian Karme and are hunting for their first win of the season.
On Sunday, the Eagles take on the University Tigers, with the big cats without a win but battle-hardened John James Lavai and Greg Ekari are expected to lead from the front.
West will be led by the running captain Alois Mondo and could be niusance value the fancied Tigers. In the main game, Pool A leaders Bomana Cats take on the Kokofas.
The cubs will rely on Kataha Siwee, Peter Lavong and Casper Babo to keep their spot on top of the competition.
The Kokofas, from Gordon, have strong set of players with skipper Bena Michael and John Vincent the go-to men.
