THE Moresby Souths Rugby League board is calling on its affiliates to abide by the requirements laid out by the Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League.
League chairman Brown Murema said that as stipulated in the PNGRFL constitution and by-laws, local leagues were to have a women’s competition this season.
Murema said leagues that failed to adhere to the requirements would be omitted from the competition.
“We urge clubs to comply with the requirements of the national body to fill in women’s teams.
“If you fail to comply, then MSRL will be ineligible as an affiliate of PNGRFL as per the resolution passed at the annual general meeting in Lae.
“The players, team managements and referees registration is K50 each and the deadline is April 28.
“This is a big challenge to us.  If we don’t get our act together ,we will be deregistered from PNGRFL.
“We appeal to clubs to cooperate”.
Murema said that clubs were to settle their K1000 affiliation fee before the season-proper kicked off in two weeks.
PNGRFL Southern Confederate director Gwaibo Mairi said that the 22 local leagues in the region should comply with the affiliation and registration fees March 31 and April 28.
