Corrupt dealings by public servants

Letters

THE primary role for all public servants is to serve the people. Their reward is a salary paid by the government.
However, we can now see a trend whereby some public servants are getting lunch money from clients to get their work done faster.
That is double-dipping – lunch money and then a government pay packet at the end of the fortnight. In short, it is corruption.
The authorities must deal with this practice by having anti-corruption offices where people can lodge complaints.
