Corruption on the rise

Letters

All newly-elected and first-time MPs have come out on media assuring their people of cleaning up the mess in their respective offices.
This is before starting a fresh political journey to transparently deliver much-needed services to their people. This was remarkable and applauded. They will, and need to seek help, from Auditor General’s office, Ombudsman Commission, Public Accounts and other relevant authorities to investigate the losses.
I think Task Force Sweep should be reinstated.
Corruption is rising within the public sector but little has been made known.
Recent findings by Auditor-General Philip Nauga, which have been making headlines, indicate that huge amounts of taxpayer money has been misused with no proper documentation.
This is while we simple citizens think that all is well.
