KICKBOXER Nelson ‘Desert Storm’ Samson will face off against Bougainville’s Elias Pasa in the main event of the PNG Professional Boxing Federation show on Sunday in Port Moresby.
Federation president Elwin Wafewa said his executives had agreed to have the Samson-Pasa bout as their main event.
Wafewa said Samson and Pasa would be fighting for their light heavyweight (75kg) championship title.
Samson, who part Southern Highlands and Engan, trains fighters at Hohola and 8-Mile kickboxing schools.
Samson said he was happy to be involved in a kickboxing bout and was glad his fight with Pasa was the show’s main card event.
Samson said he would bank on his experience and skills to get on top of his opponent.
“I’ve fought many talented boxers and kickboxers and I’m confident I can beat Pasa,” Samson said.
Samson received a timely boost from Century 21 Real Estate backing him with K2000.
Wafewa thanked Century 21 for supporting their show.
Tickets are on sale at Nambawan Trophy Haus (4-Mile) and Phone House stores in Boroko and Vision City.
