Development plans, process going well

PNG has made a good start with moving the sustainable development goals process and everyone is in it together, business executive Robert Aisi says.
Aisi who led the private sector and civil society organisations in the awareness workshop on sustainable development goals last Friday said it was important to engage the rest of the community, private sector, churches and the civil society organisations.
“We’ve started early, SDGs were adopted in September last year and we are already in the process of thinking through,” he said.
“It’s really great that we’ve got this process moving, it’s important to engage the rest of the community, private sector, churches, CSOs and everybody.
“It is not only government owned but it’s a PNG-owned process. I’m, sure we will do much better this time compared to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
“It’s good that we’re using it as a basis for our development and as a drive on how we move forward, we’ve learnt a lot since the MDGs.”
