Fifa announces match officials for U20 women’s World Cup

International Federation of Association Football (Fifa) announced the referees and the assistant referees who will officiate at the forthcoming Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Port Moresby from Nov 13 to Dec 3.
Sixteen women’s referees and 27 women’s assistant referees from 32 countries will take charge of the matches. Fijian Finau Vulivuli is the lone representative from the Oceania Football Confederation.
The 34-year-old refereed at the 2011 Women’s World Cup (the Nigeria-Canada pool game).
She has also officiated first stage games in the 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2016 women’s U17 World Cups.
She will become the first Fiji referee to attend two World Cups in a single year after being selected for the U17 and U20 World Cups.
Vulivuli has also refereed men’s football games in Fiji, including the 2013 Battle of the Giants and Inter District Championships finals.
The PNG tournament is the first Fifa World Cup to be hosted by a Pacific Island nation.
The final will be played on Dec 3 at the National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
