Final group matches today

GERMANY face South Korea in their final group D encounter of the Under-20 World Cup at the Sir John Guise Stadium this afternoon as the tournament rounds up the group stage.
After beating Mexico 3-0 at National Football Stadium last Thursday, the defending champions would take this last game as a formality before the quarter-final.
South Korea beat Venezuela 3-0 to secure their first points of the tournament despite a shaky start.
Now Korea share equal points (3) with Mexico as they have one win each. South Korea and Mexico are both on three points in group standings and their games today against Germany and Venezuela respectively will determine who joins Germany to make the quarter-finals.
The German side will rely on Stefanie Sanders, who scored two goals in the game against Mexico last Thursday at the National Football Stadium.
Saskia Matheis scored Germany’s third.
German coach Maren Meinert expressed satisfaction after the win against the Mexicans and said they now had two wins to their credit and they were well-earned.
“However, we still need to stay focused in our games,” Meinert said.
“We need to take one game at a time and to maintain confidence heading into the quarter-finals.”
South Korean Republic’s hopes are on Yeji Namgung, Chaerin Han and Seongmi Kim who scored three vital goals to secure a spot in Group D in the match against Venezuela
South Korean coach Songchon Jong said at she was impressed with her girls’ performance against Venezuela and she expects the same in today’s game against Germany.
