THE Department of Implementation and Rural Development will forward to Finance Minister James Marape the list of MPs from the last parliament who have not submitted their acquittals.
Acting department secretary Aihi Vaki confirmed this yesterday.
But he could not disclose why MPs were paid their allocations before the elections when they had not acquitted their last disbursements.
He said MPs were required to provide acquittals before they were given funding for the next year.
Finance clarified that provincial funds disbursed to governors from 2013-14 were made according to the number of districts in their provinces at K5 million per district.
However from 2015-16, each province was paid only K10mil, regardless of the number of districts.
It said district support improvement programme funds stayed the same, while LLG funds were reduced from K500,000 to K100,000.
It said MPs received K10mil annually for a total of K40mil over a four-year term and not K50mil over a five-year term as reported by The National.
