THE governors of five provinces have not been determined as counting for the remaining 10 seats continue.
They are Chimbu, Eastern Highlands, Jiwaka, Madang and Southern Highlands.
The sitting governors are Noah Kool, Julie Soso, Dr William Tongamp, Jim Kas and William Powi respectively. The five open seats which have not completed counting are Kundiawa-Gembolg in Chimbu, Kandep in Enga, Kagua-Erave and Nipa-Kutubu in Southern Highlands and Usino-Bundi in Madang.
They are expected to complete counting before parliament sits on Wednesday to elect a speaker and prime minister. Electoral Commissioner Patilias Gamato returned 80 writs to Governor-General Sir Bob Dadae last Friday. He is hoping to return the others by tomorrow.
