Focus on district development

The Department of Provincial and Local Level Government Affairs (DPLLGA) is focused on developing districts, Secretary Dickson Guina says.
Announcing his appointment as permanent secretary of the department, Guina told his officers that DPLLGA was in-charge of provinces, districts, local level governments and wards.
“When we talk about district, that’s where the bulk of our people are, 80 per cent of our people are in the districts,” Guina said.
“I expect your loyalty and commitment.”
Guina, who had been acting in the position for about 19 months, told his staff that he was appointed secretary on March 7 for four years.
He urged for loyalty to serve the people in the districts.
