Foreigners face court for fraud

THREE foreigners facing fraud-related charges involving more than K2.5 million appeared at the Waigani Committal Court yesterday.
Lee Kong Hong, from Malaysia, Nelson Moraga Raphael, from the Philippines and Iviriana Tanuri, from Indonesia, were charged with conspiring to defraud their employer San Juan Ltd three years ago.
The three were further charged with two counts of stealing from their employer between July 13, 2013 and July 16, 2016.
It was alleged that in that period, Hong stole K1,927,307, Moraga stole K321, 052, and Tanuri stole K264, 091 from San Juan at Gordon in Port Moresby.
They will return to court on Sept 25.
