THE Telikom Foundation Inc (TFI) launched a foundation donation box in Port Moresby on Friday to raise money for children’s charity.
Foundation coordinator Yolanda Bafmatuk said the foundation would run two programmes with the donation box —  donations of books for school children, and donations of items to be presented to the children’s ward at the Port Moresby General Hospital.
“The donation box illustrates hope for the underprivileged children of PNG,” Bafmatuk said.
“The foundation invites interested corporate citizens and the general public to donate towards these worthy causes.”
The foundation also presented K1550 to Buk Bilong Pikinini (BbP) at the launching.
“The funds were raised on June 20 at an event co-hosted by Telikom PNG,” Bafmatuk said.
BbP executive Henry Ume said it was a good opportunity to partner  Telikom Foundation.
“Education is a key part to our country’s progress and BbP plays a significant role in any early childhood education,” Ume said.
“We would also like to partner with the Department of Education in terms of early childhood education.”
