THE Government signed two agreements on Friday to continue with the roll-out of two health projects.
Acting Prime Minister Charles Abel said the projects included the rural primary health service delivery and the upgrading of the East Sepik Health Authority.
“The Australian grant for the rural primary health service delivery project is an extension of the K290 million funding arrangement with the Asian Development Bank,” he said.
“The second one is a loan from the EXIM bank for K172 million for the upgrading of the Boram Hospital.”
Abel said the Australian grant of K140 million would ensure the continuance of the rural health service delivery in Western, Morobe and the National Capital District.
Abel thanked development partners and said the Government wanted to deliver a better health system.
