Govt’s poor process, system a worry

POOR processes and systems by the Government create an adverse environment for commerce and trade to be maximised in the country, says Dr Charles Yala.
He told participants at the PNG Australia Alumni Association last Thursday fundamental to the development of a nation was the Government systems and processes.
“These are man-made systems and processes,” Yala said.
“We know that rivers flow into the sea through natural gullies and systems.
“Waterways and river systems teach us a valuable lesson: When there are blockages in the river system, potential damages are significant.
“When we design structures such as dams for hydro schemes, irrigation, and for landscaping of cities and towns, we harness the flow of that same resource – water – for our advantage and benefit. In the same token, we need good systems.”
