MEMBERS of Department of Health ministry fellowship group held a dedication service in Port Moresby on Monday.
The group consists of people who have been meeting regularly to pray for the department.
Fellowship president Ian Dagia said the department did not have its annual dedication service this year because of the public service dedication service held early this year.
However, the group decided to go ahead with their fellowship group dedication after they sought the approval of department secretary Pascoe Kase.
Deputy health secretary Dr Paison Dakulala said the dedication was held in the conference room where decisions regarding the department were made.
He said he attended it to commit himself to the Lord.
The service was presided by Reverend Pastor Joseph Walters of the Tabernacle of Churches.
Walters’ message was centred around the need for Christians to make a stand and take over various spheres of influence in society to transform the nation.
Members of the fellowship groups from PNG Power Ltd, TNT Air Cargo and Air Niugini also attended.
Vice-president of PNG Power Limited fellowship Betty Kiriori said the PPL management had recognised the fellowship group and allowed them to continue.
She said this was because they had seen the death rate of electricians due to stress and overwork dropping significantly since the prayer movement began in the organisation.
