Housing set to rewrite books

NATIONAL Housing Corporation (NHC) will be out to prove its supremacy over National Fisheries Authority (NFA) in the Public Servants Netball Competition (PSNC) premier division grand final tomorrow at the Rita Flynn courts.
For the housing girls, they will treat the finale like a “walk in the park”, and a win is all they need to secure a permanent home at the apex of the competition.
They have  lost only one game  this season and there is no stopping them from creating history of sorts after sweeping aside all challengers to reach the  grand final.
The two teams met in the semi-final two weeks ago, with NHC edging their rivals by two points and a mouth-watering replay is on the cards.
Naomi Wari, Gretel Tovue, Justina Gabina, Rose and Ulise Rova, Numa Rei and Merolyn Tulapi have set the team’s prospects in a healthy stead.
Goal shooter and captain Kalia Alu has been one of their unsung heroines and her accuracy and experience under the ring has given the team consistency in the scoring department.
Kalia will be joined by Maila Nouairi and Delly Raepom, who will lend the youthful team their experience.
Japheth’s Tulapi’s lanky frame is an added bonus to the NHC midcourt. “There is no magic formula for our success. The girls just don’t give up easily” captain Kalia said.
