AN SP Hunters Fan Day will be held tomorrow at the National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
PNG Rugby Football League media and PR manager Ephata Samuel said it would be a great time for fans around Port Moresby to meet their favourite players and the team.
“The players are on a break and return to camp today to prepare for their next game on Sunday week against the Mackay Cutters at the NFS,” Samuel said.
The Hunters management chose to have the Fan Day to get the rugby league followers involved with the team and to promote their brand as well as the sport.
Fans will have the chance to meet their favourite players and the whole team, get photos, sign autographs and have a chat.
“We have also invited our valued sponsors and partners to participate. They will set up tents and stalls to display their products,” he added.
“There will be lots of fun and games with prizes to be won, giveaways and merchandise for sale.”
Gates open at 8am.
“The players will arrive around 8am and leave at 10am so come to the stadium early, get a signed team poster, have a chat, get a photo, see the products on display and move on so everybody has an opportunity to meet the SP Hunters players,” Samuel said.
There are six games remaining with three at home before the finals series starts in September.
“We want to encourage parents to bring their children to the NFS in Boroko on Saturday morning and wish the team good luck for the remainder of the season,” Samuel concluded.
