Hunters visit schools, hospital

THE SP PNG Hunters took time out to visit schools and the children at West New Britain Provincial Hospital yesterday as part of their community programme.
One group each visited Kimbe International and Kimbe Primary Schools while the third group visited children at the provincial hospital, adding excitement and colour to their day as
they received small gifts from the Hunters.
Team manager Arnold Krewanty said the visits were part of their community obligation which the club tries to do on a regular basis and especially when they are in different parts of the country.
The two groups of players that visited the schools interacted with the students as well as talking about their experiences, answering questions and sharing with the youth about their lives as the country’s top rugby league players.
The Hunters players all agreed that it had been a fulfilling experience and something that motivated them to play well as they were looked up by the children and seen as role models.
The Hunters also left gifts with the schools they visited with balls and team memorabilia including flags and posters.
