THE Institute of Business Studies (IBS) celebrated its biggest cultural show at its Mt Eriama campus outside Port Moresby on Saturday.
Traditional dances were performed by 14 cultural groups, which was organised by the Students Representative Council as pre-independence anniversary celebrations.
Guest speaker and director for PNG Fashion Week Janet Sios said that 41 years of independence has brought great changes in infrastructure and the standard of education.
“As we celebrate 41 years of independence, we only have to look around us to see the vast development taking place, the infrastructure sophistication of our people,” she said.
“The choices that are available to us now.”
Sios commended the institute’s SRC for promoting the country’s cultural heritage within the educational environment.
“Students’ parents and guardians all invest significantly in your future by sending you to such institutions like IBS,” she said.
