Inflation and cost of living

Letters

THE everyday life of an average working class family in Papua New Guinea is not getting any better or easier by the day.
I am sure that most of you will agree with me on this.  We are being forced by circumstances beyond our control to battle against the ravages of a malevolent enemy known as inflation.
Inflation is a serial killer lurking behind the shadows, waiting to devour your pay check and your sense of wellbeing. The newly formed government of Prime Minister Peter O’Neill has a moral and legal duty to prudently address the two major economic challenges as a matter of priority.  We are hoping that the government will bring inflation level down to as low as possible and significantly reduce unemployment over the next few years.
