KIA Motors in PNG has donated FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup tickets to Haus Ruth.
Haus Ruth is run by City Mission in Port Moresby and offers a safe place plus counselling for women and children who are survivors of domestic violence.
Awareness is currently being undertaken via the legacy programme with the #ENDviolence campaign focusing on changing perceptions towards women and violence.
The campaign aims are to develop respect, understanding and tolerance among girls and boys, women and men in the society.
The overall goal is to reduce the risk factors associated with gender-based violence in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific.
Kia Motors distributor’s representative in PNG Adam Le Fevre said: “We are grateful for the opportunity to support this meaningful campaign of FIFA by donating tickets to Haus Ruth.”
