Kina Securities appoints new executives

KINA Securities Limited has appointed Gregory Brent as head of credit and Chris Davies as senior relationship manager with the Kina Bank in Lae.
Brent has more than 40 years’ experience in banking and financial services sector, with senior roles in Australia and PNG.
It includes six years as senior manager business credit for Bankwest/Halifax Bank of Scotland Australia and more than four years as senior manager credit for Bank South Pacific Ltd.
He had specific experience in credit risk and governance.
Davies has more than 30 years’ experience in the banking and financial services sector, with senior roles in Agribusiness and Business Banking throughout Queensland, Australia and Papua New Guinea.
He spent the last six years as a senior relationship manager for Westpac Bank PNG Ltd based in Lae.
He has specific experience in corporate and business banking.
Kina’s chief executive Syd Yates said he was delighted to have the two join the group. Their breadth of experiences will be very valuable to Kina,” he said.
“In particular, they bring important insights in the areas of credit risk and business banking which are focuses for Kina as we expand our Banking business over the coming years.”
