Koboni to get mojo back against Cats

Sports

KOBONI will be hell-bent on finding their premiership winning formĀ  to prevail over the fleet-footed Bomana Cats in the main match of the Port Moresby AFL at the Colts Oval tomorrow.
The defending premiers have lost most of their premiership players from last year and have timidly struggled to weave back their winning formula in the absence of Amua Pirika, pictured, Brendan Beno, Jason So-on, Scott JohnsonMalum, Greg Aki, Alphonse Jaffarumbo, Herald Kali and Michael Maka.
Premiership-winning-goal-kicker Chris Mong, Eddie Lam, Francis Brown, Chrijen Amona, Paul Philip, David Topeni, Joseph Singura and Andrew Lai are seasoned footballers with wealth of finals experience but they will still find the young Cats a lot too speedy.
The pacey Cats of De La Salle Secondary School are proven high-pressure performers and their ability to generate fast flow-on moves across the midfield has been their main weapon.
The Cats trumph cards Peter Lavong, Kataha Seewee, Cedrick Itta, Kelly Kaugla, Gilmore Morehari and Jackson Ngawi will stand tall against the Demons in the frontline to showcase their aerial ability.
In the earlier match tomorrow, the Central Bombers should prove too strong for the University Tigers.
On Sunday unbeaten Gordon Kokofas should maintain their flawless record at the expense of the unpredictable Dockers while Gerehu Magpies face an uphill battle against competition leaders theĀ  Taurama Suns.
Defence and West have a bye this weekend.
