THE call by Lae city mayor Koim Trilu Leahy for businesses to stop parking their trucks along footpaths and recreational areas is fully supported. Lae city is now witnessing recreational areas such as Voco point, scout hall field and others being taken over for business. Careless parking by heavy trucks is causing much damage to the pathways. Waste oil and fuel are dumped carelessly and old tires being burnt without due care. Can the relevant authorities ensure that businesses operate out of proper locations instead of using public parks and recreational areas.
