OUTGOING Anitua Group of Companies chief executive director Colin Vale has been praised by the landowners for successfully expanding business operation.
Anitua board director and the chairman of the six Lihir clans Patrick Labongis said through Vale’s leadership and management, the group had developed into a complex business entity with operations around the country.
“Anitua has grown so much in the last 20 years compared to any other landowner companies in the country,” he said.
“Colin has achieved a lot for Anitua since he took over. He has a special link with Nationwide Catering Services where he started his career with the group. That link is synonymous with the people of Lihir.
“Through his firm control and leadership, Colin has taught us Lihirian leaders a lot of things. He will leave behind a legacy, something that Lihir can be proud of.”
Vale and wife Lynette were farewelled at Lihir last Friday,
