Let us not misquote the Bible

Letters

I WISH to correct Dafo of Telefomin view point on “More on the Sabbath” dated July 10 in your daily letters column.
He quoted Isaiah 66: 22 – 23 to say that there is going to be a day of worship in heaven.
He does not seem to read revelation of John in Revelation 21:23 – “And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it, for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is light thereof” (KJV).
If there is no need for sun and moon lights in heaven, then definitely there is no day or night in heaven, so where do we as flesh day of worship fit into God’s plan?
God’s kingdom is the spiritual kingdom which is heaven and the flesh cannot inherit it.
As there is no day and night in heaven, Jesus Christ did not promote any one day throughout his ministry.
I would only conclude by saying that let us not misquote the bible to suit our own agenda but preach the truth as we will be accountable for action on the judgement day.
