Malaysian man guilty of stealing

A FORMER general manager with a construction company has pleaded guilty to misappropriating more than K1 million early last year.
Yee Then Chung, from Malaysia, also admitted to a second charge of laundering the money back to Malaysia.
Deputy Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika, presiding over a National Court, will sentence the 38-year-old man on Dec 7.
In mitigation, Yee told the court that he had taken the money from Stratosource Ltd to help his wife and relatives.
He created false documents to obtain payments from the company’s clients.
His bail of K2000 was extended to Dec 7.
