MIGINUTS made a cleansweep of the Popondetta Touch Association finals at Dorin Park on Saturday.
The team from CCR Street bagged the open men’s, open women’s, open mixed and Under-18 titles.
In the open men’s final, Miginuts edged Warriors 7- 5, while in open women’s finale, Miginuts ran over Steelers 10-7.
They toppled Tigers 7-3 in the open mix final while the Miginuts’ U18s edged Magpies 3-2 to win.
The open men’s and women’s bagged the Richard Masere Cup, while the open mixed and U18s snatched the Steven Kila Pat Cup.
These were besides the minor premiership honours for the four divisions, ending the club’s season on a high note.
Association president Finella Oivo extended her gratitude to the Masere and Kila Pat families for their assistance in cash and kind to ensure that the finals ended with a colourful presentation of awards.
“This is one of the best grand finals played in the history of Popondetta touch as it ended peacefully without violence or problems,” Oivo said.
“This is also worth the two sponsors their money and has set a good platform and image for them in the province.”
