Minister happy with Airport company report

THE National Airport Corporation has completed its annual reports for 2012 to 2015.
The four reports were handed to Minister for Civil Aviation Davis Steven by NAC chairman Reuben Aila last Thursday in Port Moresby.
Aila said the reports, which were mainly about finances, were a milestone achievement for NAC because the management had put a lot of work to produce it.
“NAC has now produced the 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 annual reports. That puts NAC as the top government agency in terms of complying with the Companies Act,” Aila said.
Steven said it was a relief to see the annual reports completed.
“Two previous boards had struggled to achieve these (reports). But just at the very end of my time (as minister), we are able to produce these,” he said.
“Therefore you can understand how relieved I am as a leader representing the interest of our people.”
He thanked the management and the board for what they had achieved.
