Moresby North-West to start elimination process

Primary count for the Moresby North-West electorate has been completed, with the elimination process scheduled to start today.
Returning officer Moka Havara told The National that primary count for the electorate was completed on Sunday.
“We have already completed the 112 ballot boxes and are now in the process of doing quality checks,” he said.
Former prime minister and Independent candidate Sir Mekere Morauta maintained a healthy lead of 9156 votes after 112 were counted followed by Joseph Tonde (6470), Lohia Boe Samuel (6120), former National Capital District Commission’s (NCDC) deputy city manager Honk Kiap (3242) and incumbent Michael Malabag on 2191.
