MP calls for arrests after 14 murders

KAINANTU MP Johnson Tuke has called on law enforcement agencies to arrest those involved in the recent killing of 14 people in Kainantu, East Highlands.
Tuke suggested that the security force should go to Onerungka village, identify the suspects and arrest them.
He said the killing and burning of the mutilated bodies were horrendous.
Tribal enemies raided Onerungka village at 3pm last Thursday and killed 14 men including two grade 10 students from the Onerungka High School. Their bodies were burnt.
Provincial police commander Superintendent Alex N’Drasal said police investigation was continuing and the killers would be arrested.
