PANGU Pati leader Sam Basil has promised to investigate all corruption claims if his party is voted into power in next year’s general election and named the prime minister as amongst those who will be sent to Bomana Prison.
“We will put many criminals into prison,” he said to large applause at a party forum in Sibruk village in Buang last Sunday.
“I have put Paul Tiensten (former Pomio MP and national planning minister) behind bars.
“We will do the same to the others. I have a message for the prime minister that if Pangu forms the government, he (Peter O’Neill) will be sent to Bomana (Prison).
“He will go and eat Brown Rice at Bomana.”
Basil said when he was the national planning minister, he initiated the Task Force Sweep, which investigated PM and 20 other leaders.
“They (leaders) were ready to go (to prison) but he (PM) has disbanded the Sweep Team,” Basil said.
“This is how powerful the prime minister of the country is.
“Whoever is in the PM’s position becomes very powerful.”
