Nasfund to install bio system

NASFUND will be installing the biometric identification system at its branches to allow members to access services.
Business development officer Ancie Liam said Nasfund wanted to enhance service delivery to its members.
“This year, we have partnered with ina who are our administrators looking after our members’ accounts,” she said.
“We have gone forward in enhancing service to our members in having them access their balance online – or even on their phones. You can check your balance, housing advance and statements. You don’t have to come back to Nasfund.”
Liam said members did not have to go to their human resource sections to enquire about their balance or to check their beneficiaries.
The new system will facilitate registering using fingerprints.
“Those who don’t have smartphones can go to any of our chambers, swipe your fingerprints, get your balance,” Liam said.
Nasfund is also talking to big organisations such as Oil Search and Curtain Brothers to install a computer at their office for members to check their details rather than going back to HR.
